I was looking for a place in London that taught the traditional mysore style. I am so lucky I found Ashtanga here. Roberta is amazing - a fantastic teacher. So kind, encouraging and knowledgeable. I have learnt so much already - and feel inspired to improve my practice. Thank you Roberta. Highly recommend.

"Having attended ashtanga studio classes before I was keen to find a class that taught the traditional Mysore style. I hit barriers trying to practice the Primary Series at home that I knew I wouldn't be able to get past alone.

I got lucky finding Roberta Giannotti's classes, not only because she knows the practice so thoroughly and has a long history with studying and teaching it, but because her approach is very friendly, non-dogmatic and down-to-earth. One of the best classes I've been to in ages. Lots of positive reinforcement, challenging in a good way and again, warm welcoming vibe.

Oh, and beginner's package of £25 for 5 classes is incredibly great value, especially given the level of teaching on offer."

"I have known Roberta through the Peter Sanson workshops she has been organising and assisting for a number of years. In 2018, I immersed myself in her Kentish Town studio and achieved poses that were unimaginable to me before and now, finally I can join her again in her new venue in Archway which I love.

Her dedication and love for the practice resonates and fills the room with warmth and lightness of spirit. Her energy is phenomenal.

"I've been doing astanga yoga with Roberta for nearly two years. I was almost a complete beginner when I joined. She is the most fantastic teacher, so knowledgeable, attentive, generous with her time. For much of this year the classes have had to be online but I've been amazed how my yoga practice has managed to grow and deepen and how life-affirming the classes are. Somehow it works on zoom and you get a wonderful group feel. So much of this is due to the brilliant Roberta and also to the people who come to her classes."
